About VOICE

VOICE is an acronym for ‘Valuable Opportunities to Inspire Change and Empowerment’ and was born from a consultative process with the athletes and community members it serves.

Sport Can Be A Natural Part Of The Solution

Sport is part of the solution to ending gender-based violence and discrimination. Sport teaches accountability, social cohesion, and self-control, all of which are factors in preventing gender based violence. Through sports we can reach young people at early stages in their lives, in their element and work with them to shape their understanding, their behaviour  and their experiences. 

Junior High & High School Sports

VOICE provides opportunities for professional and young athletes to come together. Our goal is to engage, educate young people in developing positive attitudes and behaviours while still in Junior High and High Schools.

Post Secondary Schools

One-quarter of women will experience sexual assault during their time on campus. VOICE engages and educates varsity-athletes and campus leaders to develop a positive attitude and behaviours on campus.

Professional Sports Teams

Professional athletes are role models in our society. VOICE engages and educates professional athletes to mentor varsity athletes and campus leaders to develop positive attitudes and behaviours on campus.
